Lyme disease is a relatively new concern over here in Quebec province. In Canada, ticks that can transmit Lyme disease are found in parts of southern Manitoba, Ontario, Québec and British Columbia and parts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for the moment. My husband was bitten few years ago but received a preventive antibiotic therapy and luckily got nothing. But that stressful episode changed our vision of enjoying nature. We now take precautions, avoid tall grasses and make a check-up after going outside.

Untreated Lyme disease can produce a wide range of symptoms, depending on the stage of infection. These include fever, rash, facial paralysis, and arthritis. For more information, please visit sites like CDC in U.S or CanLyme in Canada

This month, Share Six spreads awareness for that insidious disease, not always easily diagnosed. Join us for this month’s theme by posting your Green images on our Facebook page at Share Six  and to our Instagram gallery, by tagging #sharesix and #sharesix_green.  A new theme will be posted on June 6th.

I am part of a group of photographers, Share Six, who blog 6 images on the 6th of each month with unique monthly themes.  Next up is the talented, Lynne Grand of Lynne Grant Photography.  Please click HERE for her interpretation of this month’s theme. Then, follow around the blog circle for a whole lot more talent and inspiration! Enjoy!

Michele these images are gorgeous. I love seeing your children out in nature and I especially love the 2nd last image with all of the bokeh - it is stunning. Thank you for sharing on Lyme Disease. You ladies all inspire and amaze me.
