Making the ordinary look extraordinary: I'd say it's a mission for a photographer, don't you think? This is our theme at Share Six for June 2020: ~ordinary to extraordinary~. My favorite way of introducing 'extraordinary' in my work is to use vintage lenses or special techniques. Doing this allows me to offer a new vision, a fresh look that eyes can't get. I often challenge me to document a entire 'session' only with freelensing, and still tell a story.
Here is an 'ordinary' evening at the beach, where I tried to capture the mood and the magic light we were bathing in.
And after the golden light, some blue light! Photographing that moment of the day is not something we usually do, but it's still possible to capture some magic! That bridge looks pretty ordinary in the afternoon, but with a Lensbaby touch to create a bokeh with street lights, it gets that dreamy feel!
And finally, what makes an ordinary snack to an extraordinary one? A special friend to share it :)
We would love to see your ~ordinary to extraordinary~ interpretation! Please join us and share them on Share Six facebook page or using #sharesix_ordinarytoextraordinary tag on Instagram.
